Types of Reviews
Review time is dependent on the Board’s stipulations and the duration for these to be resolved. Please keep in mind that these timelines may be shorter or longer depending on how busy our office is and how quickly you respond to any issues/questions.
Exempt Review
If your protocol qualifies for one of the exemption categories, once you address any issues we can provide approval. Please allow 1-2 weeks from submission to approval. All exempt research must be reviewed by the IRB, who has the experience to make this determination. Read More
Expedited Review
The protocol will be sent to one or two IRB members for their review. Once you have addressed any issues we can provide approval. Please allow 4-5 weeks from submission to approval. Read More
Full Board Review
The protocol will be placed on an IRB meeting agenda. Full board protocols must be ready (all pre-review issues addressed) before it may be placed on an agenda at least 2 weeks before the scheduled meeting.
